The funny thing about this record is I had another complete set of songs recorded and then decided to write another twenty during lockdown, which I was a bit more excited about as they were fresh and new. This is the only song that survived from that first session and I think it’s a good midway point of the record with its chilled out introspective vibe, it’s basically about stuffing up and trying to redeem yourself.

V1
Don’t wake the delicate flower
Been sleeping for 12 hrs
Repeating patterns everyday
Didn’t see the change coming
Now that we’re here
Into the night, pass out on your comment
C1
Everybody’s here
Everybody knows
Everybody’s worried that your eyes will stay closed
Onto the beach, let it hold you down
Let it roll you up, and then you towel it down
V2
Please turn the lights
It rings my eyes, down to the lowest setting
Can’t wake without 2 cups in hand or else I’ll be fading
Apologies to my friends here, but you may have to bear it
Sunlight in the window is my, my old friend returning
C2
Everybody’s here
Everybody knows
Everybody’s worried that your eyes will stay closed
Onto the beach, let it hold you down
Let it roll you up, and then you towel it down
C3
Everybody’s here
Everybody knows
Everybody’s worried that your eyes will stay closed
Onto the beach, let it hold you down
Let it roll you up, and then you towel it down
